The agency who manages my flat have passed on an offer from Fine Move, who want to let the flat on a 24-month contract in order to sublet to their tenants. I'm told they work with "working people supported by the council". I googled them and they seem to be a letting agency.
Does anyone have any experience working with them? Are they ethical?
If not Fine Move, does anyone have experience working with similar companies in this type of arrangement?
Every experience I've had with that kind of arrangement has been bad. Universally, every time. And getting out of the situation once you're in it is extremely difficult. I wouldn't consider it under any circumstances at this point.
Actually I'm surprised that the agency who manage your flat would put that forward to you - seems really odd?
I thought so too, that's why I'm asking around. This kind of validates my gut feeling.
The deliberate vagueness of the "working people supported by the council" is a huge red flag. Unless they are paying a lot over market rent and there are cast iron & enforceable rent/ damage clauses avoid like the plague
