Hi fellow landlords, there are loads of trash like mattress, furnitures and garbage outside of a house across the road of my tenanted property. Those cabbage are looking like it had been there for a long time as it is moldy black and some turned green. I did not receive any complain or anything. Only found out about that when I went for an annual visit and I think someone cut the front hedge of that house so now these rubbish are revealed. Now these garbage is in someone else front drive. Doesn’t feel like I can do anything about it. What to do in order to get rid of them? They are on someone’s drive though. Please point me to the right direction, it looks horrible.
Report the rat infestation that’s living in the mattresses.

Absolutely yes I want to do that. But worried about legal liability. Trespass and taking away someone’s else properties. I can’t find anyone who own that house either looks like someone living in it but no answer when knocking.
You can get the owner details from land registry for a tenner.
Trespass is civil for residential properties in wouldnr worry about that. The items have no value. Put a note through the door saying you are a local person who would like to clear up the area at no cost to them.
I’ll go nosy about with our neighbours first after I get in touch with the council as per the advice from another comment. I have no problem paying for a waste collection for the sake of our street. I don’t want to get into trouble for that.

Two options:
report it to the council and they may or may not take action within a year, depending on many factors but primarily if they decide it’s either hazardous or causing pest and if the council has money. But also depending on whether the owner of the property can be traced and the extent of compliance to any notices given
if the place is inhabited knock on the door and offer to remove the waste at your own expense or negotiated share (if they actually accept and you pay people to remove the waste then make sure you see an up to date copy of the waste carriers license and that you receive a Waste Transfer Note)

I contemplated it but was in an area where the council had just gone effectively bankrupt so decided it was better my taxes were low rather than complaining about an unsightly mess which didn’t actually impact me
For the success rate I suppose your only reliable source of insight will be the council but to get that you’d need to submit a Freedom of Information Request which will just add time to dealing with the issue…either that or name the council and I might be familiar enough with them to give a vague insight, but there are many many variables which impact that success rate
