Furniture was broken after we moved out of the property

Hi, we recently moved out of the property. Today, I received the final inventory check, and they are claiming that I broke one of the cupboard doors. They attached an image, but it was 100% fine the day we returned our keys. Is there any way to prove this, or are we forced to pay?

Additionally, they listed “Repainting” in the report, but there are no new marks caused by us—only marks that were already there when we moved in. Can they repaint the entire property using our deposit, even if we haven’t caused any additional damage?

It is my first time renting in the UK, so I have no idea what to do :(

Question is, can you prove this? Do you have photos? Otherwise it is "I say, you say", and you would probably end up paying for the door.
As for the paint.. you will probably win that. there is reasonable wear and tear, plus you can dispute this. The deposit should have been deposited according to law.
You need to say where you are, laws are different in say Scotland vs Wales, and probly r/TenantsInTheUK subreddit would be the place to ask.. this is a subreddit for LLs.

I am in Scotland, we have photos, but I don’t know if it can proof anything, unfortunately the agent didn’t wanted to go to the property to get the keys, we returned it to their office

Well I assume DJ Alexander... in any case whoever it may be, you did learn a lesson.
You should have sent the photos to the Agency as you took them, or better still a video and take another one too, just in case.
The deposit should be on the tenancy deposit scheme and you should be able to dispute it.

Too late now, but in future insist on being present for end of tenancy inspection.

Always take pictures when you move in or out of a property and it is better to have the landlord or agent with you and return the keys at the property as you both sign it off. That’s what I do

Just dispute it with your tenancy deposit protection scheme.
