Redirecting post?

I am becoming a first-time landlord, moving abroad and renting out my 1-bed.

As part of that, I’m wondering what to do about post addressed to me being sent to this address (and tenants receiving it).

I will not be on the utility bills but there still might be some things that slip through the cracks. Nothing too sensitive but still ideally my tenants wouldn’t receive it, and I’m sure they’d rather not have it either.

What have other people done in this situation? I appreciate this might sound like a basic question. Any advice welcome.

Move as much of your correspondence online ( bank statements etc) Leave 3 our 4 large envelopes with 1st Class Stamps attached at the house and ask them to gather the mail and periodically send it on to an address in the UK for you.

Royal mail redirection to a friend or family member's house.

This is the obvious answer… it’s expensive though.

Look at Royal Mail’s website - it’s all on there.

I moved abroad about 18 months ago. The property that I used to live in is now rented. I used Royal Mail's redirection service. I still have family in the UK, so all of my post now ends up there.

I would strongly advise against the Overseas option. It doesn't seem to be that reliable (more players, more chance of things getting lost) and it could take a really long time to reach you.
